What a good time we had in the store bantering around about the invention of electricity.
Benjamin Franklin did not invent electricity, God did. He discovered it's harnessing. I said that I think that he could have lost his life and that it really wasn't a wise thing to go flying a kite with a key in a lightning storm. That is progress, Mother, you insisted. That is the way the lightbulb was created and every other worthwhile thing. Something like that is worth the risk of life and limb, was your allusion. I understand and I agree, although I won't let you fly a kite with a key on it until you are, at least 11.
