Searching for the snack bag

We looked, we looked, but we just couldn't find the new and precious snack bag. It is really nice to have something that makes you just like the other children in the class. It is so wonderful to have something that evens us all out. Some of us have never had something that makes us similar to the others. It is brilliant, that a brown paper bag makes everybody's snack special to them in the 4th grade. Hats off to the teacher who thought of that. Uniforms did that for me when I was a child. I didn't ever have high heeled shoes and I didn't ever have a silk shirt in school years but a uniform, I had and that made all of us the same. They could be rich and I could be poor, but we were dressed somewhat the same. I only had one uniform and I don't remember washing my uniform too often, so it must've had a not nice smell. But we looked the same. The snack looks the same and that is what makes it special for us to have what everybody else has. I don't have special stuff, unless somebody gives it to us. I am very thankful, but put it in the brown bag and I am the same as the other children. Thank God!

Spellabration!

Reading and riting and rithmatic, all to the tune of the hickory stick. Now that we have subtracted the hickory stick from the process, it is alot harder to engage the mind in the process. In the hickory stick is the deliverance of the soul from hell says the Bible and in the lack of the hickory stick many a heresy has abode and prospered. Beware of the lessons that cost you nuttin!

The First fellow dressed and ready for the new school year!

Congratulations, Ethan. You were the first one dressed and ready for the day. Superb, except for the bath. I backed you up to pick up the pieces. First things first. Happy boy. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy and wise. You are wise to have put out your clothes early and gotten out at a good time. You are growing to be quite a responsible young man. I am proud of what happened today. Keep up the good work.

The first trip to the basketball game with Dad!

Shhh, don't tell Ezra. The men went to the UNCC and watched a game together to culminate the mens retreat over the Christmas break. They were dressed in their caps and warmth and went to the game where the Long Island Blackbirds played the Charlotte 49ers. The boys, I mean men came back rejuvenated and equipped to serve in the household. Everyday when they jump to palm the ceiling became visualized as they saw the men on the teams jumping alot higher and reaching the goal of dunking a ball into the hoop, for a prize at the end. It was fun to watch.
