Who broke My SPOON?

Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman...Giant MOMMY comes to find her Mr. Strong with 2 pieces of the spoon.
How, Mr. Strong is the dish going to run away with the spoon if you broke it? I broke the spoon Mommy. You are a very strong boy, my Ethan. I am glad that you feel comfortable to tell me such a thing. In my childhood lying was a matter of survival. Fear and torment breeds lying so many times. You cried, when you thought that your father would be "disappointed" in you. He could only be disappointed in what you have done and never in you. I am glad that your conscience is sensitive and that your heart and hands are strong.

I must say, though that you are starting a breaking motif in your life that we are trying to break. No more broken bones or spoons or hearts. Okay? If we do maybe there will be a wonderful Dr. Fricht, like your bone surgeon, to put everything back together, by the Grace of God.

Reminders for reminders when you are ten!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Tie a string around your finger to remember that you must bring home your agenda. Don't forget your lunchbag, don't forget your folders. Too much to think about. We never forget certain things and certain things we never remember. What is a decade old boy to do?
We had a parent teacher conference and I appreciated hearing about your antics from your teachers. You are who you are and we love you and expect great things from you.

OOOPS! almost broke your glasses again

Those glasses are so delicate for a growing boy. I heard the pop this morning when you were putting the items into your backpack and everything stopped. NOOOOO! Not your good glasses! You gave them to me and I was able to pop them back into place. Thank God for small mercies. We do have another pair, but I was not ready to go into the repair and replace the glasses season with you again. We can see. We can keep these glasses for an entire school year, I think. Maybe. :) You are fun to watch getting ready for school.

Yesterday's message was from 2 Kings...

Josiah was 8 when he came to the throne. We are not too young to seek the Lord wherever we are. 10 is not too young to be a godly young man. You govern yourself and God will bless you with more to govern. Let's look at Josiah together. God placed him in front of us through the preaching. It is up to us what we do with Josiah's lessons.
God is good and He has a wonderful plan for your life.
