Whew, we made it another great year!

Ode to Indiana Squirrel

10 years old!
Ten years ago today, we didn’t know who you were.
10 years ago today, you were a mystery.
The sweetness of your smile.
The Funny things you say and do.
What a bright boy, you have become.
We used to read together, When we were…6,7,8,9
Now you are 10, 10, 10.
A decade years old.
This, first decade was a whopper.
You jumped on the scene with all of the power and strength of every other Walker man that I have ever known.
Grandma Ruth smiled ever so wide to see your little face. Grandpa Bob and My Dad were 60 and 80 years, your senior, almost to the day.
You were wished for. Exactly one year earlier, I saw cousin Ton,Ton and I kissed him and said, Oh my, oh my I want another one and you were more than I ever imagined that day. What a wish!
Take me half way across the sky. You have stretched me past my wildest dreams in having and knowing you and seeing your tremendous contribution to the family.
I do expect great things from you!

It was lonely, only 4 of themJ We were looking for someone special to love and God reached inside and sent us you. He did ,
Took us halfway, across the sky, Out where the hope is growing, we keep knowing why.
God is in charge. He gave us you. The precious picture of his love is here in view.

8 Days to Ten!

I love you! We want to show how much we care. Oooh I know your birthday's coming very soon. I hope we can show you on your birthday, just how much we love you. Hugs and kisses balloons and brothers and sisses. We can't wait till your birthday 8 days to Ten!

struck GOLD! Trip to the Gold mine with his class.

!Special Day!****Special Ethan Coverage************Special***********Olympics*************

Ethan's class and their special "buddies" in the special ed class were invited to attend the Special Olympics. It was such a great day. Under the overcast skies and the chill that was in the air, these athletes tackled fears and competed against the limitations of themselves and others. Ethans buddy won a medal and there were other activities after the events were finished. We took movies of the other activities that we participated in and we got so many special treats, out there.
They lit the torch and prayed and had a puppet show and then, the games began. The motto was, Let me win, but if I can't win, let me be brave in the effort. There were so many brave athletes, we couldn't count them. Lots and lots of medals and smiles and Ethan acted as cameraman for alot of the races. We had a fabulous time!

A Resurrection week, spiritual retreat with Dad.

Alone at last, just for once you have him all to yourself. You are the only one brave enough to have gone to Maryland with Dad to pick up the car. Enjoy yourself and bring home every story that you can...

The studies about Jacob have proven profitable

to our souls, you and me, son. We are learning that God has regard for the second son as well as the first. It is about seeking Him and not place or station. I am grateful for your persistence in study! Lent is nearly over now and we are remembering that our sins are forgiven in Christ, Halleluia.

Report Card Day!

I love it, It is colorful and distinguished and no F's. My son, My son, My son, keep hanging in there with your grades. You are headed in the right direction. I am trying to get chapter 2 to you as soon as I can, Mr. Publisher.
